Julian McMahon’s Ex-Wife Brooke Burns Mourns His Death at 56

Brooke Burns, ex-wife of Julian McMahon, has released a statement following his death at age 56. The announcement came after McMahon privately battled an undisclosed type of cancer.

Burns, 47, shared a photograph on her Instagram account featuring the late Charmed star alongside his daughter, Madison. The post accompanied a simple caption: “Rest in Peace,” accompanied by a broken-hearted emoji.

Several Hollywood figures offered condolences and support in the comments section of the post. Kristoffer Polaha, a Hallmark actor, wrote, “I’m praying for you and Maddy as you and she especially grieve this out.” Ellen K. added, “Sending you our love and prayers.”

McMahon’s wife, Kelly McMahon, shared a formal statement on Friday, July 4th, stating, “We ask for support during this time to allow our family to grieve in privacy. And we wish for all of those to whom Julian brought joy to continue to find joy in life. We are grateful for the memories.”

Julian McMahon, known for his roles in series such as Charmed, Nip/Tuck, and FBI: Most Wanted, as well as appearances in Marvel’s Runaways and the Fantastic Four movies, is survived by Kelly McMahon and his daughter, Madison. He was also briefly married to Dannii Minogue from 1994 to 1995.

In a 2023 interview with Kara Mayer Robinson for her “Really Famous” YouTube series, McMahon reflected on his life and career, emphasizing the importance of finding joy and fulfillment. “Your awesome!!!!!” Madison wrote in an Instagram post in March, prompting a response from McMahon, “No, YOU’RE awesome,” according to reports.
