Los Ángeles, California – A flurry of speculation surrounding the cast dynamics of the new “I Know What You Did Last Summer” sequel has been swiftly addressed by director Jennifer Kaytin Robinson. Following persistent fan theories suggesting that Freddie Prinze Jr. and Jennifer Love Hewitt filmed their scenes separately, Robinson clarified via X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday, July 19, stating unequivocally, “[Hewitt and Prinze] absolutely shot their scenes together. hope this helps.”
The clarification followed a fan account’s attempt to “spark a debate” based on purported “cuts and separate shots” within the film. The fan subsequently apologized for their “messy” speculation.
The situation has been further complicated by long-standing rumors of a feud between Hewitt and original costar Sarah Michelle Gellar, who is married to Prinze. The pair have been married since 2002 and have two children, Charlotte Grace, 15, and Rocky James, 12.
