HOUSTON, TX – The Houston Astros announced today the signing of 24-year-old Dominican pitcher, Javier Ramirez, bringing a significant element of experience with the New York Yankees to the organization. The deal, terms of which are undisclosed, is a three-year contract with an option for a fourth.
Ramirez, a right-handed pitcher, spent three seasons with the Yankees’ minor league system, primarily in their Triple-A affiliate, the Scranton RailRiders.
