Star of the reality show *McBee Dynasty*, Steven McBee Sr., has seen his sentencing repeatedly postponed. The delay now extends to October 16th, marking the fourth rescheduling for the case involving a multimillion-dollar fraud scheme.
McBee Sr., 52, was originally slated for sentencing in March, then again in June and September before the latest postponement. As part of the proceedings, a judge has ordered him to surrender three luxury watches – a Tag Heuer Formula 1, a Tag Heuer Grand Carrera, and a Rolex Daytona – to partially satisfy a money judgement. This action stems from a U.S. code allowing the court to seize assets linked to the alleged offenses. Authorities have identified additional assets belonging to McBee Sr. that weren’t directly tied to the initial fraud charges.
The case began in November 2024 when the U.S. Attorney’s Office Western District of Missouri charged McBee Sr. with federal crop insurance fraud. He’s accused of falsely reporting crop yields – approximately 674,812 bushels of corn and 155,833 bushels of soybeans – to an insurance provider in 2018, subsequently receiving over $2.6 million in federal crop insurance benefits and an additional $552,000 in premium subsidies. He also faced accusations of fraudulent reporting in 2019 and 2020, misrepresenting soybean crops as “the first crop in certain fields” while utilizing the same land for wheat production.
McBee Sr. pleaded guilty to the fraud charges and agreed to a restitution payment determined by the court. He waived his right to a grand jury and faces a potential sentence of up to 30 years in federal prison without parole.
McBee Sr. gained recognition through *McBee Dynasty*, which originally aired on Peacock. The show focused on McBee Farming Operations, which he managed with his family. After failing to secure venture capital funding in the first season, he stepped away, transferring McBee Farm & Cattle to Steven McBee Jr.
During Season 2, filmed for Bravo, Steven McBee Jr. revealed his father was under investigation by the FBI. “We’ve leaned into family. We take it day by day,” McBee Jr. told *Us Weekly* in July. “The situation is still ongoing. We’re hoping to have it wrapped up and have some finality to it before the end of the year.
