The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City cast’s yacht trip brought rocky seas — literally and figuratively.
In the middle of season 6, Heather Gay organized a girls’ getaway on a superyacht chartered by Below Deck Down Under captain Jason Chambers. The trip played out during two episodes of RHOSLC, which aired on October 21 and Tuesday, November 4, respectively, and caused friction with celebrity fans.
“The treatment of the crew and my pals by the women was super gross,” actress Christina Applegate wrote via X on Thursday, November 6. “I hope they apologized to Jason and Daisy Kelliher. Wow.”
As Captain Jason, 52, dutifully charted the boat, RHOSLC star Britani Bateman expressed romantic interest amid her “30-day break” from on-off boyfriend Jared Osmond. While the rest of the Housewives — Heather, 51, Whitney Rose, Mary Cosby, Meredith Marks, Angie Katsanevas and Bronwyn Newport — discussed Britani’s crush, Lisa Barlow was tired of the frequent gossip about Britani’s love life.

“Enough with the pile on. Like, Captain Jason’s not interested. It’s, like, duh! Right? Back me up on this, Daisy,” Lisa, 50, asked the chief stew while she was serving drinks. “Daisy, come on! Is he interested? Say, ‘No. Hard no.’”
Daisy, 36, meanwhile, attempted to stay about the fray, succinctly stating that she had “no idea” whether Captain Jason was romantically interested in Britani, 54.
“It’s ridiculous, and I feel bad for him,” Lisa added. “I wouldn’t want my name dragged around in a conversation that I’m not a part of. Don’t do this to people.”
Christina, 53, did not further elaborate how the RHOSLC cast seemingly mistreated the ship staffers. The Utah-based Bravo stars, for their part, previously told Us Weekly that filming aboard the boat was “different” from what they were used to back in the mountains.
“It was fun. It was a little bit different for us because it was different from what we are used to,” Meredith, 53, exclusively told Us in August. “It is a very different animal. I can’t say I love that part of it,” she added. “But it was a fabulous trip and the whole crossover thing was cool to do.”
Meredith and Lisa both told Us at the time that Captain Jason and his chef, Ben Robinson, worked “extremely hard” throughout the charter.
“They have a great chef,” Lisa added. “My food preference sheet I went kind of light on but there were specifics that I had to have and they met every need and every wish.”

Captain Jason, meanwhile, told Us last month that the crossover was a whole new world for him.
“We didn’t know what we’re in for, but wow. What a wow. What a way to start a season, I’ll tell you. To be quite honest, there’s a lot going on now. There’s a lot happening, and I don’t think you could fit that much into a three-day charter.”
According to Captain Jason, he had to wear many hats to keep the VIP guests satisfied while aboard.
“I don’t think we’ve had [that] much drama go on, [but] it was so much fun too. I don’t know how much I can say, but from some injury happening, I’m playing doctor to one of them. I was a doctor. I was a yoga instructor. I was a Zen master. I had to be everything to try and calm the whole thing down.”
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City airs on Bravo Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET.
