Detroit, MI – The investigation surrounding former University of Michigan football coach Sherrone Moore has revealed a startling connection: his accuser resided in the same apartment complex as several Michigan football players. The revelations, stemming from a report by The Athletic published December 22nd, paint a more complex picture of the escalating situation.
Sources within the program indicated that multiple players lived at the same complex as Moore and the staff member with whom he was found to have an inappropriate relationship. The Athletic reported that Moore was frequently seen late at night, often with his SUV parked at the complex. Moore and the staff member were reportedly spotted together in public after Moore’s appointment as head coach.
The relationship, which spanned several years, came to light following a university investigation that led to Moore’s termination on December 10th. Moore is charged with third-degree felony home invasion, misdemeanor stalking related to a domestic relationship, and misdemeanor breaking and entering. He was released on a $25,000 bond and ordered to wear a GPS tracking device and cease all contact with the staff member. He is scheduled to return to court on January 22nd.
