Gavin Adcock Continues Criticism of Zach Bryan, Claims Singer “Isn’t That Great of a Person”

Country singer Gavin Adcock has repeatedly criticized Zach Bryan following a dispute involving a teenage fan. Speaking on the Wednesday, August 20 episode of “Rolling Stone Nashville Now,” Bryan asserted, “I think that Zach Bryan puts on a big mask in his day-to-day life and sometimes he can’t help but rip it off and show his true colors. I don’t know if Zach Bryan’s really that great of a person.”

This follows earlier criticism by Adcock, who, via X on July 22, condemned Bryan’s handling of a complaint from a 14-year-old TikToker who had hoped to meet the musician after attending recent concerts at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Adcock wrote, “If you can’t handle the criticism of a 14 year old why do people idolize you?” and added, “That kid was head over heels to meet you and spent/ parents spent a ton of money to see you. He’s got feeling too and a you’re a ‘grown man’ nearly 30.”

Bryan defended himself in the comments section after the fan alleged he “didn’t even roll down his window to say hi,” responding with, “You’re not entitled after someone plays two and a half hours to a picture or a hello. Get off my d*.” He later explained that he was “out and took pictures both night one and three. I had a third show the next day and it was late, needed to rest.”

During his appearance on “Nashville Now,” Adcock reiterated his stance, stating, “It wasn’t about not wanting to sign autographs after a show, it’s like letting a 14-year-old kid rant, without saying, ‘Get off my d*.’ You’re bigger than that.”

The criticism extends beyond the initial fan interaction. Adcock recently expressed frustration with Beyoncé’s “Cowboy Carter” album dominating country charts. “One of them’s Beyoncé … you can tell her we’re coming for her f*ing ass,” he stated during a live show in June.

Charley Crockett recently defended Beyoncé via Instagram, writing, “Hey country folks. @beyonce ain’t the source of your discontent. It was 25 years of bro country. … These ‘country boys’ been *singing* over trap beats for years.”

Us Weekly has reached out to a Bryan representative for comment.
