Los Ángeles, CA – Fitness personality Jillian Michaels has publicly condemned Netflix’s recently released three-part documentary series, *Fit For TV: The Reality of The Biggest Loser*, labeling it as a “egregious lie.” Michaels, who intermittently starred on the reality competition from 2004 to 2014, stated she has no regrets about not participating in the documentary.
“Zero regrets about not doing it because I would have simply lent credibility to something that is an egregious lie,” Michaels told Fox News in an interview published Monday, August 25th.
The documentary series depicts Michaels as behaving harshly towards contestants and supplying them with caffeine pills, specifically referencing the “stackers fat burner” and allegations that caffeine was never banned during her time on the show. Michaels claims Dr. Robert Huizenga approved the use of these pills and that Bob Harper, a fellow trainer, suggested their use.
Michaels indicated she is currently evaluating legal options, reportedly consulting with attorney Bryan Freedman. “To be totally honest with you, at the moment I’m choosing my battles because there are a lot to fight,” she stated. “I will absolutely take on one of these. The question is, you can’t fight 10 Goliaths at the same time. So, I have to determine what I want my legacy to be and that is going to be a result of which fight I pick.”
She revealed she’s in discussions with the original executive producers of *The Biggest Loser* about potentially producing her own documentary. “Wild how some folks still lie like it’s 1985 before texts and email were a thing,” she added.
Netflix and Bob Harper have not yet responded to requests for comment. Michaels previously broke her silence on the documentary via Instagram, alleging that Dr. Huizenga approved caffeine pills on many seasons and that Harper suggested their use. She also claimed caffeine was “NEVER banned” on the show, sharing a final text exchange with Harper.
The controversy has reignited longstanding tensions between Michaels and Harper, who reportedly had a strained relationship beyond the television screen.
