Taylor Frankie Paul is outlining exactly what she’s seeking as the star of season 22 of *The Bachelorette*. The 31-year-old Utah native, who rose to fame on the reality TV series *The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives*, is aiming for a unique experience.
She recently shared a video montage of romantic moments with various couples on Instagram, captioned, “Manifesting my *Bachelorette* experience.” In the accompanying caption, she confessed, “I love to have fun, but I’m a sucker for just sitting in random places wearing comfy clothes having deep talks while being weirdos together.”
This revelation follows comments from Taylor’s mother, Liann May, who recently expressed concern about the prospect of Taylor engaging in Fantasy Suites – a tradition of the show involving overnight stays with suitors. Speaking on iHeartRadio’s “Almost Famous” podcast, May stated, “I will be so pissed if she goes in and does that. I will be so mad. I mean, she doesn’t really care what I think but she does, but she doesn’t. It’s just weird.”
Taylor, who is a TikTok powerhouse with a massive following, is hoping to bring a fresh perspective to *The Bachelorette*. She’s eager to meet individuals outside her current circle, even if a potential baby daddy figure is part of the equation. “I’m most looking forward to … meeting a handful of people that are outside my bubble — and even if there’s a couple in there, that’s OK — but I’m just excited to get to know different perspectives and new parts about myself too,” she explained. “It’s out of my comfort zone, so, obviously, it’s scary.”
Adding to the intrigue, Taylor is the first *Bachelorette* not originating from *The Bachelor*, leveraging her popularity as a TikTok influencer. She’s also acknowledged a controversial past, including admitting to infidelity during a soft-swinging scandal with her ex-husband, Tate Paul. Despite this, she’s hoping viewers will see a more relaxed and approachable side. “I think they’ll come in and it’s not something they’ll expect. So if I were to give a message out to all of them: I have a side to me that is not very seen, and it is a very relaxed, chill side,” she said. “I just like to conversate and talk. I’m not intimidating or mean or anything like that. I don’t know if I give off that energy, but everyone’s like, ‘You’re so nice. You’re actually nice.’”
Taylor is a mother to daughter Indy, 8, and son Ocean, 5, and son Ever, 1, whom she shares with ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen.
