Chelsea Freeman Celebrates Dodgers’ World Series Win – And Supports Team During Tough Times

Los Angeles Dodgers star Freddie Freeman and his wife, Chelsea, are celebrating the team’s victory following Game 2 of the World Series, while also showing support during a challenging moment for pitcher Alex Vesia.

Chelsea Freeman, 34, took to Instagram to share her excitement after the Dodgers secured a 5-1 win over the Toronto Blue Jays on Saturday, October 25th, with an enthusiastic “Yayayayyyyyy!!!!” captioning a celebratory video. This win was a crucial comeback after the Dodgers’ 11-4 loss in Game 1 on Friday, October 24th.

Recently, Chelsea has been a vocal supporter of the Vesias, Alex and Kayla, as Alex takes time away from the team to address a “personal family matter.” Following the Dodgers’ announcement that Alex would be unavailable for the remainder of the post-season, Chelsea encouraged fans to offer their prayers.

The Freeman family’s journey has been marked by significant milestones. Freddie and Chelsea married in 2014 and have three sons: Charlie (born 2016), Brandon (born December 2020), and Maximus (born via surrogacy in February 2021). The family moved to California in 2022 after Freddie signed a lucrative $162 million contract with the Dodgers, having spent 12 seasons with the Atlanta Braves.

Throughout their path toward parenthood, the Freemans have been open about the challenges they faced. Following Maximus’s birth, the family faced a difficult diagnosis – Max was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome, a rare neurological disorder. Max spent eight days in the ICU and initially struggled with mobility. “These have been the hardest and scariest days of our lives,” the couple shared in a joint Instagram statement.

Notably, Maximus was recently able to return to Dodger Stadium to cheer on his dad, a moment captured in a heartwarming Dodgers Instagram post.

The Freemans’ story is one of perseverance and family, offering a glimpse into the lives of the star player and his supportive wife.
